Secure Payment & Payment Terms

How payments are processed & protected

1.Secure Payment Agent

All payments are processed and held in secure payment by our third-party payment processor, Stripe, Inc. YachtCare.io does not hold any funds directly. Stripe is a PCI DSS compliant payment processor and all financial data is handled in accordance with industry-standard security protocols.

2.Funding

When a Yacht Owner books a service, their payment is captured and held in a secure payment account. The funds remain in secure payment until the conditions for release are met, as described below.

3.Release of Funds

Funds are released to the Service Provider's account after:

  • (a) The service is marked as complete by the Service Provider.
  • (b) The Yacht Owner confirms satisfactory completion through the Platform.

Payouts for completed services (less the platform fee) will be transferred to your designated bank account within 7–10 business days after the Yacht Owner has confirmed the completion of the service.

4.Cancellations & Refunds

Owner Cancellation

If a Yacht Owner cancels more than 48 hours before the scheduled service, they will receive a full refund. If they cancel within 48 hours, a cancellation fee may apply.

Provider Cancellation

If a Service Provider cancels, the Yacht Owner will receive a full refund.

5.Rescheduling

Either party to a booking (the Yacht Owner or the Service Provider) may request to reschedule or relocate a confirmed service. Any such change shall only take effect upon the mutual written agreement of both parties through the Platform. If the parties cannot agree on a new date or arrangement, the original booking terms shall remain in effect, or either party may cancel in accordance with the cancellation terms above.

6.Platform Fee

YachtCare.io charges a platform fee of nine percent (9%) of the total service fee for each completed booking. This fee is deducted from the amount paid to the Service Provider. There are no listing fees or monthly subscriptions — the platform fee only applies when a service is completed.

7.Disputes

In case of a dispute, the funds will remain in secure payment until the dispute is resolved as per our Dispute Resolution Policy. Neither the Yacht Owner nor the Service Provider may access the held funds during an active dispute.

8.Taxes

Service Providers are solely responsible for determining and remitting all applicable taxes on the income they earn through the Platform. YachtCare.io does not withhold or remit taxes on behalf of Service Providers.
